Model Mai-Lynn Yim

Greetings!! I had the honor and the pleasure of interviewing a star on the rise. Mai-Lynn Yim is a hard working, focused young woman who's modeling career is shaping into a beautiful, promising quest. This multi-talented star took time away from her busy schedule to grant this interview:

Hello Ms. Mai-Lynn it is indeed a pleasure to meet you.

Mai-Lynn: Thanks for having me.

First things first how old are you?

Mai-Lynn: I turned 19 years old in July of 2014.

When will you be 20? What's your sign?

Mia-Lynn: I will be 20 in July of 2015. I'm a Cancer

To my understanding this is your first ever interview?

Mai-Lynn: Yes this is my first interview with a general talk show or blog.

How did you get into modeling?

Mai-Lynn: I have been modeling since I was seven years old. My first project was a Sketcher's commercial. I had to jump up and down on a trampoline and kick my feet together and say "THAT'S SKETCHERS." I wish I has footage of that. Hahaha.

Have you done any music videos?

Mai-Lynn: I think I have already gone over that. One other thing I will add is that I refuse to shake my butt in videos or wear things that are too revealing.

Do you have and iCloud nudes that we should expect to see in the near future? Lol
Mai-Lynn: No I don't and I don't even use iCloud. Thank god. ;)

I noticed on your Instagram profile that you're multi racial.  What does that consist of?

Mai-Lynn: My mother is African-Portuguese (Cape Verdean), and African-American. My father is full Korean. NO he is not from North Korea.. Hahaha *sigh

What projects have you worked on so far?

Mai-Lynn: So far I have done some behind the scenes work on a new film with Bella Thorne from the Disney Channel and some music video leads that required acting roles. I do music videos but I am never one of the vixens. I'm always on set for the lines and character I bring to life. My last video was a Tk N Cash video for 106 N Park in which I played a girl trying to convince her friend to stop drinking and to calm down. My character ended up getting really frustrated with her.

Explain your upbringing with your family.
Mai-Lynn: I was raised in a strict and busy family. I am the oldest of five siblings, four girls, and one boy. My mom never let me go over other people's houses, and she was always pestering me to study. My mom was always telling me that I needed to do better and that I wasn't doing my best. I am such an intelligent person I just tended to be lazy. Now that I am older I am so grateful for her because my ambition goes above and beyond most people's. My dad was not there for us like he should've been but he is not a bad person.

Have you worked with casting directors?

Mia-Lynn: Yes. I have worked with three or four. Currently I am working with some to acquire more projects.

What is the worst thing you have experienced in your profession thus far?

Mai-Lynn: The worst thing I have experienced? I'm not sure. Maybe other girls who have a LOT of followers on social media and THINK they are the shit. But in real life most of them are looking really rough and out of shape. Then their work ethic on set also makes me laugh. This is NOT every girl,of course. But, a lot of girls, here in Atlanta, and everywhere, think they deserve a place of a trophy in the world of entertainment because their butt is big and they look great with makeup on.... Lol .. In the real world of entertainment, you need to have WORKED and obtained real knowledge of your profession. Being pretty with a nice body will only get you so far... And unless you've got  some truly amazing talent it will not get you very far.

How can people follow you on Social Media?

Mai-Lynn: Great question. My instagram is @therealmailynn and my twitter is @THERealMaiLynn . DEFINITELY follow me on both and be on the lookout for me. I'm 19 but I am going to do great things. Mark my words.
I may come off as cocky but I am a truly sweet and humble woman. I just know who I am and who I will be. I'm sure of myself and the directions that I am taking. Thank you for the interview and thanks for reading !!!
